This week T-Pain's "Epiphany" slips to No. 5 with a 52 percent sales decline, selling 82,000 copies, on Billboard’s Top 200 album chart. T-PAIN’s BUY U A DRANK (SHAWTY SNAPPIN') remains number 6 on Billboard’s HOT DIGITAL SONGS moving 84,904 downloads. Bartender on the other hand moves up one spot to number 15 with 49,937. Buy U a Drank remains the number one song played on radio nationwide while Bartender has a 24.1% increase. With all of the above noted, Buy U a Drank is number 4 on the Hot 100 after 17 weeks and Bartender jumps to number 17. Buy U a Drank remains number 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
T-Pain is sitting pretty right now as Konvict Muzik’s chart topper of the moment and both T-Pain & Akon with a handful of featured appearances on the charts. Some songs include Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Featuring Akon, I Tried at number 20 on the Hot 100, R. Kelly (Featuring T.I. & T-Pain), I'm A Flirt at number 35, Bow Wow Featuring T-Pain & Johnta Austin, Outta My System at number 55, Plies Featuring T-Pain, Shawty at number 94, and let’s not forgot Akon’s own Don't Matter, still sizzling at number 36.
Akon’s Sorry, Blame It On Me and Ray Lavender’s My Girl Gotta Girlfriend may not have charted but they are certainly on their way. Both songs pushing for Top 60 positions on Rhythmic radio and Sorry, Blame It On Me pushing for Top 70 on pop radioplay. Both songs are in the Top 100 songs on Urban radioplay.
Alright so there’s already been some buzz surrounding the Akon track; Sorry (Blame it on me). In the song he addresses the controversy surrounding his Trinidad concert with an underage female.
